The crowd belted out the words to the birthday song Sunday, Sept. 23, as people gathered outside of the south entrance to Florida Hospital Flagler. While two cupcake-flowing carts were maneuvered around bathing-suit clad children with hula hoops, Florida Hospital Flagler President David Ottati thanked the community for its support throughout the years.

The third-annual Family Fun and Safety Day acted as a community celebration in honor of the hospital's 10th anniversary.

“Our community is stronger because we have somebody looking out for our good health and our way of life,” Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts said. “And of course, we, as a growing community, have enabled the hospital to expand upon its mission to bring us top quality healthcare.”

In addition to a water slide and kid activities, the Kiwanis Club of Flagler County provided free childrens' bike helmets and fittings, while the city of Palm Coast and the Flagler County Sheriff’s office offered bike registration and a safety course.
